Brew Dr. Releases New Yerba Mate Beverage

Brew Dr. has released the brand’s first-ever shelf-stable yerba mate beverage, Uplift. The name Uplift speaks not only to its functional benefits but also the way this product line is focused on helping uplift communities. Brew Dr. donates 1% of all Uplift sales to social justice organizations as part of their ongoing commitment as a certified B Corporation to use business as a force for good. 

Brew Dr. was a tea company before it grew as a kombucha company, and has a long history of crafting beverages from yerba mate. “We've been working with yerba mate since the early days at our first teahouse back in 2003. Over the years we've made bubble tea with it, used it in spicy chai recipes, and of course served it traditionally with gourd and bombilla,” says Brew Dr. Founder, Matt Thomas. “The earthy flavor of yerba mate balances very well with the fruit juices and botanicals we’ve chosen to pair it with in Uplift.”

Uplift is currently available in three shelf-stable flavors: Blueberry Raspberry, Mango Passionfruit, and Blood Orange Lemon. It is made with all organic ingredients and features 150 mg of natural caffeine from the combination of yerba mate, guayusa, and green tea. Brew Dr. has also leaned on its kombucha expertise with Uplift, including a gut-friendly probiotic content as well. "Energy and gut-health--tea and probiotics--are where we've developed our expertise," says Thomas. "We're excited to launch Uplift as something that is uniquely made the Brew Dr. way."
